Konstantinos Zafeiropoulos, also known as Zafko, born in 2002 in Athens, Greece, is a researcher, performer, and interdisciplinary creator. He earned his Bachelor in Informatics and Computer Engineering and his Integrated Master's in Networks and Telecommunications from the University of West Attica, alongside a Minor in Cybersecurity from Deree – The American College of Greece, graduating with a perfect GPA.
His research focuses on machine learning, cybersecurity, and wireless communications, with work presented at the Demokritos National Center for Scientific Research, the Ministry of Digital Governance, and RUDN University in Moscow. At the Smart Wireless Future Technologies (SWiFT) Lab, he has specialized in IoT and 5G security, MIMO systems, liquid antennas, and communication system design, co-authoring scientific papers and contributing to emerging wireless technologies.
Konstantinos has received three prestigious scholarships, including recognition from NASA, the Greek Ministry of Education, and most recently The American College of Greece for the Summer 2025 Study Abroad Program at Concordia University, Montreal. He has also expanded his intercultural perspective through Erasmus studies in Intercultural Competencies at SRH Hochschule Heidelberg.
Beyond research, Konstantinos expresses his creativity as Zafko, an artist whose music blends hip hop with electronic genres such as Drum & Bass, UK Garage, UK Dubstep, House, and Melodic Techno. Zafko has collaborated with various artists, DJs, and producers from around the world, among them BBC-featured DJ INFINULL, Rolling Stone-featured DJ and producer Mel Ody, Bllyz, and Reuvel.
His music has been featured on Spotify Editorial Playlists (including New Music Friday) and gained traction across the Athens club and festival scene, with sets and live shows at Bolivar Beach Club, WEskg, EKEI, Tyco, Quilombo, Nomads, and Dunk.
As a conservatoire-trained performer, he has studied singing and orthophony and appeared in creative hubs and theaters such as Rematia Theater and Vivliostatis, while collaborating with musicians and vocalists across genres. His creative journey also includes his first book publication at the age of 16, Apologos (2018), a collection of poetry and AI-driven art with his own creative direction, which was featured in the National Library of Greece.
